Ferd Charles Flagg. Private First Class, U.S. Army.

29 June 1919 - 21 April 1945.

One of four brothers who served. Fatally wounded in action, Leipzig, Germany, 18 April 1945. Bangor High School student; in the refrigeration business; shipbuilder. Member of Maine State Guard. He loved the out-of-doors and he loved people. His daughter, Pollyanne, and his son, Douglas, inherit his happy disposition. Purple Heart.
