Circa Date

1949-1955

Description

Aerial view of Bangor, Maine, circa 1949-1955. Date range based on knowledge that the Thomas Hill Standpipe had been repainted to pre-World War II white in 1949 and a vacant lot across the street from Union Station at the corner of Washington and Oak Street. We have seen a picture circa 1955 showing this vacant lot. Union Station was demolished November 30, 1961.

Image loaned and owned by Bangor Historical Society.
