Enlisted January 1943. Trained on LCT's, Solomons, Maryland. Served on LCT's, Pearl Harbor, October 1944. September 1945, then at Okinawa. Died of accidental explosion aboard his ship, Chimu Wan, Okinawa. Boy Scout. Bangor High School, 1942 where he was drum major Student at Bangor Maine School of Commerce. Enthusiastic outdoorsman.
