1 September 1920 - 3 November 1943.
Studied naval radio. Engaged in the Solomon Islands campaign. Died of wounds received in the torpedoing of his vessel off Bougainville. Native of Bucksport. Graduated St. John's School, Bangor, and University of Wisconsin. Engaged in railroading with the Southern Pacific. Boy Scout leader; athlete; author of many poems. Purple Heart.
