Nelson Edwards Wilson. Sergeant U.S. Army Air Forces. 29th Troop Carrier Squadron, 313th General Paratroops.
7 December 1922 - 22 February 1944.
Served in the Sicilian Campaign. Killed north of Tarifa, Cadiz, Spain, in the accidental crash of the C-47 troop carrier airplane on which, as radio operator, he was flying from Sicily toward England. Born in Millbridge (sic.), Maine. Student at Bangor High School and member of its R.O.T.C. Trapper and outdoorsman.
