Description
Features the John R. Graham Building at the corner of Harlow Street and Central Street in downtown Bangor, Maine. Estimated between 1925-1927. Estimate based on location of The Fleischmann Company at 96 Harlow in the 1926 Bangor city directory. This business had been located on Franklin Street in the 1925 city directory. Between the Graham Building and The Fleischmann Company (a compressed yeast store) is an alleyway with a sign reading "Swett & Mullen Garage." Operated by Ludovoc P. Swett and Charles C. Mullen, Swett & Mullen Garage operated at 94 Harlow Street. The 1927 city directory indicates that Charles C. Mullen had moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. Mullen's departure provides the last clue to the approximate year range.
