    Description

    Nathan Whitman's five and dime store at 123 Main Street in Bangor, Maine. Date not known, but estimated between 1885 and 1903. Bangor city directory of 1884 lists business as 32 Central Street and does not carry the "& Sons" designation. City directory of 1903 gives 123 Main Street location and is "& Sons." Store specialized in games and toys. Many dolls are displayed in the front window.
