Description
Walter F. Whitson sold carriages and sleighs, including, upon closer inspection, secondhand carriages, at 60 Harlow Street in Bangor, Maine.
None of the people are identified, but it feels safe to assume Mr. Whitson is the older man under the store's sign.
Sign boasts: "This Is The Place Headquarters For The Finest Line Of New And Second Hand Carriages In Eastern Maine"
Utility poles can be seen, so this could be no earlier that 1887/8, the time period Bangor got its first electricity.
Mr. Whitson died in 1907.
This block would be destroyed by the Bangor fire of April 1911.
