    Description

    Estimate based on presence of overhead electrical poles and wires, not known in Bangor before 1887, and the business at the corner of State Street and Exchange Street, Frank D. Pullen Clothing Company. This location became the site of Bangor's first skyscraper, the Morse-Oliver Building, in 1899.

    C.B. Wyman, a hardware store at 141 Exchange Street. Charles B. Wyman, proprietor.

    The People's One Price Clothing Store at 135 Exchange Street.

    Pritchard and Fairbanks, sellers of stoves, tinware, etc. at 133 Exchange Street. William H. Pritchard and Jesse A. Fairbanks, proprietors.

    At end of Exchange Street is the Penobscot River. Masts of ships are visible.
