Jim Mitchell of Detroit, Michigan, a six foot eight inch tall former boxer and glass eater for the Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey traveling circus; and S/SGT. Paul Geden provides an extended look at base life in "Dow Field Diary."

Announces the appointment of LT. Lucius F. Waite as the new chaplain of Dow Field; indicates LT. Isadore Hurowitz has take over the Legal Assistance Officer's duties; "Dow Field's Post Personality" introduces S/SGT. Edward Jerome Thomas as a base basketball manager and writer of sports columns; and has a photo and brief biography of one of the basketball team players, S/SGT. Carl R. "Dick" Carlson, a newlywed, having married Jessie Carlson earlier that year.

Williston, office at 18 Central Street.

Announces that Colonel Francis B. Valentine will be be leaving Dow Field for a new post and that Colonel S.F. Landers is the new commanding officer of Dow; the "Dow Field's Post Personality" is S/SGT. Freddie Neumann of New Haven, Connecticut; and "Know Your Officers' introduces LT. Herbert J. Carter, a Springfield, Massachusetts, native.

University of Maine Professor H.L. Bricker and a group of drama students (Edward Falardeau, Arnold Cabbath, Richard Bloom, Robert Patten, Lawrence Hadley, Webber Mason, Lewis Chadwick, Priscilla Hopkins, and Earle Rankin) entertained the base with scenes from Richard II and Hamlet; PVT Bruce Samuels of Cincinnati, Ohio, the ace reporter of the base's Aviation Squadron is profiled; Samuels also contributes a column; and we get to know Captain Frank J. Comiskey.
