Enlisted, October 1943. Trained, Newport, Rhode Island, and Norfolk, Virginia. Voyaged to Brazil, 1944, before assignment to Aircraft Carrier Hancock in the Pacific. Killed in action. Buried at sea. Graduated, St Mary's School, Bangor. Employed in the newspaper business while studying one year at John Bapst High School. Baseball enthusiast.
