Silver Star. Air Medal with three clusters. Purple Heart. Completed forty-seven combat missions from Italy. Died, a fighter pilot, leading his squadron of p-38 dive bombers, victoriously against the enemy at Rogatica, Yugoslavia. Bangor High School, 1940. Student, Maine School of Commerce. Ship fitter. Entered the Army 1 March 1943.
