John Allen Richard. Technician Grade 5 (Corporal), U.S. Army Field Artillery, Battery C, 965th Field Artillery Battalion.
15 June 1922 - 22 December 1944.
While radio operator in an exposed forward post at Gouvy, Belgium, he was fatally wounded by enemy machine gun fire, dying two days later in France. Graduated, John Bapst High School, 1940. Entered garage business. Enlisted, 4 January 1943. Four battle stars. Purple Heart. Bronze Star Medal for heroic achievement.
