Linwood W. Perkins. 2nd Lieutenant, U.S. Army Air Forces.
20 June 1918 - 1 November 1943
While piloting his plane over Port Moresby, New Guinea, he was killed in action. A graduate of Bangor High School in 1936, he was in civil life, a bookkeeper. He enlisted in January 1941, at first becoming a radio operator, later transferring to the Air Forces where he was a pilot.
