The 200 block of Main Street, Bangor Maine, in 1926. Bangor Motor Company at 225 is on the left. The corner of Davenport Park, the site of the USS Maine Monument, is on the far left. The Bangor House located just right of the center of the photograph. Several two story homes populate the right side of the street. In the distance, cars and street cars share the road.
This photograph is part of a collection donated by the Bangor Hydro Electric Company. We continue to process this collection. The back of photograph lists 1926 as the date. We opt to trust this date as accurate.
