22 September 1922 - 7 September 1944.
Fought at Manila and Bataan, Philippine Islands, 8 December 1941 until captured, 5 April 1942. Died in the torpedoing of a Japanese prison ship off Mindanao. Student Bangor High School, 1936-1940. Graduated, Higgins Classical Institute, 1940. Enlisted 20 November 1940. Graduated from Wright Aeronautical University. Presidential Citation. Purple Heart.
