Lawrence Jordon Wentworth. Corporal, U.S. Army Infantry - 83rd Infantry Division.
3 May 1914 - 21 July 1944.
Seven years in the National Guard preceded his Federal induction and training at Fort McClellan and his going overseas with the Thunderbolt Division. Killed in action in Northern France. Studied at Hampden Academy. Employed in the electric power industry and in shipbuilding. Father of a daughter, Lois Ann. Purple Heart.
