Joseph Herbert Kobritz. Staff Sergeant, U.S. Army Air Forces. 5 October 1913 - 20 April 1943
Fighting as an aerial gunner, after long training in many phases of military aviation, he died in action over Germany. Born in Bangor, he attended Bangor grammar and high schools. He was in civil life a store-keeper. Entered the service from Georgia before the start of the war. Purple Heart.
