At the cost of his own life by sniper's bullets he saved his comrades trapped in a disabled tank at Renez, Germany. Enlisted 1939. Commissioned 1942. Basketball manager, Bangor High School, where he graduated, 1938. Rancher in Wyoming. Purple Heart with three clusters. Bronze Star with two clusters. Silver Star.
