Description

This view of Broadway from State Street, taken sometime between 1869 and 1871 and distributed by Trask and Dole, showcases Bangor's fine rows of elm trees--as well as its unpaved roads, which were fearsome in the Spring 'Mud Season." Three women pose in the weak sunlight next to a melting snowbank.
