26 October 1917 - 20 June 1944.

In the Army three years before the war. Then engaged in copper mining. Re-enlisted for action. Trained in part at Dow Field. Tail gunner of a B-24 on many bombardment and bomber combat missions. Killed in action over France. Purple Heart. Distinguished Flying Cross. Air Medal with three oak-leaf clusters.
