8 March 1900 - 1 July 1944.

Born in Kankakee, Illinois. Resided, Bangor, 1923 to 1942. Engineer First Class, U.S.S. Mayflower, 1919 to 1923. In peace an auto mechanic whose recreations were hunting and fishing. In war he put his skill at his country's service, entering the Navy, 1942. Served until his death from illness at Recife, Brazil.
