Wounds received at Iwo Jima caused his death. Fought, previously, at Saipan, Tinian, and Guam. Enlisted 1942. Trained, Parris Island. Sailed overseas, 1944. Participated in football, basketball, and boxing at John Bapst High School where he graduated, 1941. Engaged one year in assembling Pratt and Whitney airplane motors. Purple Heart.
